Synopsis: It’s six months since we last saw everyone and Nancy is in full bloom. Esteban proposes, and all seems right with the world until Nancy discovers there’s another woman in Esteban’s life. Andy, meanwhile, has gone on a spending spree and let himself go. Now he must come to terms with the new order of things. Celia, unhappy in her job at the mall, discovers an opportunity in the world of cosmetics. Shane spends an eye-opening day with Ignacio. Silas and Doug’s medical marijuana dispensary is in full operation. But Deputy C.P. Jones continues his meddling ways.

I’m not sure as I don’t speak Spanish, but I think the girl at the end said a bunch of insulting things about Nancy and how Esteban was crazy for asking her to marry him. Then something about him leaving “los ohos” *spelling?* in Mexico and wasting her money and time etc… then she says “you or the gringa.” a threat? Whatever she said she obviously has some authority over Esteban

The didn’t sub-title it because you’re meant to see it from Nancy’s point of view and she doesn’t speak spanish.

I am sad about Andy, but finally proud of him for standing up to Nancy. I used to love Nancy but now she is just so selfish. She never thinks about her kids or family but is always going and doing something dumb. I never wanted her to marry Esteban anyway.I never wanted her to have the baby either. It just does not seem to fit with the theme of the show. Who knows what’s coming next…

Okay i am getting tired of Doug messing everything up for Silis, i really like shane’s character now because he isn’t annoying like he was in the first 4 seasons, Celia needs to rebound, and Nacy and Esteban should move back to majestic..i miss the theme song haha

Omg I KNOW!!! I miss the theme song too! It makes me sad because I miss the original shows! Doug NEEDS to go! But not as much as that pig of a police idiot! Everytime I see an episode of WEEDS, I’m like uh oh how on EARTH are things going to work out but they do in the next episode so we just have to wait and see. And I;m sorry but Esteban is ONLY marrying her bc of the baby, he loves the baby, not Nancy how cant she see htat!!!

I 3rd that! I miss the theme song. It is SUCH a different show now!!! Esteban is seriously bi-polar or something. First Nancy is his whore with his bastard son then he’s asking her to marrying him then taking it away. I don’t think he knows what he wants. And Nancy. She knows that if she doesn’t try to invest something in Esteban she will have no where to go and will have to start over again. I think she’s making the best of the hand she was dealt. But that’s just my point of view. I wish Celia hadn’t come back. The woman annoys me and just fucks things up!!! But then again that’s probably why she’s back.

Finally a good episode! I haven’t really liked the fifth season too much. Not enough action/drama.
I think everyone misses the theme song ahah.
I think Silas is going to fire Doug and the cop won’t do shit cause the business is already in order. He’ll get fucked for accepting bribes. And now that I read MJ Junkie’s post, I think it is another druglord/kingpin but at first I thought it was his mother or something lol.

I enjoy whatever weeds i can watch. I won’t complain as it is the only show with the nerve to drive off the cliff repeatedly. I will just roll with it and hopefully my husband will grow an andy beard.!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness,doug is soooo fricken funny…I think the best joke he ever told was to the golf guy wen he was kicked off the golf range, he said well u can kiss my black a*s, lol. anyways i sixth that…i really really miss that theme song but i love watching the beginning and how every week they come up with some creative way to show the creators name and the weeds symbol. I loved season 1 , 2 and 3…4 was the worse and I hated the fact that conrad was gone, even uturn because he started to be funny but i am totally diggin season 5…loving it…just wish the show was an hour and not a half! Wow shane is growing up to be so handsome and he has more balls these days than his sillas who is starting to look soft. Please get the cop outta here and stop tryna waste celia on wacky scenes…she was halarious as a rich diva…now she jut sucks and wheres her goofy husband? Ph and they need to remind us that the daughter is gay and had attitude…she no longer interest me…she’s all sweet now, lol.

Haha I thought I was the only one that loved the theme song! I hated when they started changing it though…
I really don’t like this season so far.. I think because Nancy has become way too selfish.. before it was like she was a good person that made bad decisions but still tried to look out for her kids and what not.. but now its like she’s just a selfish person that only cares about protecting her own ass… I really miss conrad too.. and I think getting her pregnant was a huge mistake… seriously like where are they gonna go from here? I hope it gets better…

my 2 cents on the show “weeds” is that it is intended to be like the drug its named after….at first experiences, it is euphoric and stimulating. further interactions with it *episodes, theme songs* only causes more want for that beginning experience, however, whatever length it will take to get back to that feeling, we are willing to go there. and are willing to tune in each week, of each season to see if it takes us there…..
wonderful show and maybe the best of all time.
but thats just my 2 cents.

I miss the old weeds back in Agrestic where Nancy was actually dealing, not her kids. There was no guns or mafia mob leaders. I miss the affects of seeing a drug dealer living in a seemingly Utopian Suburb. This is just getting to much for me.

i liked the theme song too. but i think they got rid of it b/c, if you watched a season with the episodes back to back it got insanly repeative to where you could have lost your mine. thats why i think they changed it later to same song with but different artist.

Um, I don’t think that Nancy’s that selfish, so much as she’s tryin to keep her ass alive. She’s worried what’s going to happen to her after the baby’s born. And I saw a commercial for a future episode and it had something to do with Nancy “having the baby off the grid”, so I think when Esteban said he couldn’t marry her it set off a big red flag!

Does anyone miss Heylia and Conrad and that whole group of people? They were one of the best parts of the original seasons. The show has gone down hill since they left. I agree with what everyone else has sad about the best part of the show being the idea of illegality in a seemingly perfect community. Lets drop the gang wars and trips to mexico and go back to agrestic.

The feel of the show has definitely changed. But its writer wants it to play like real life does- so characters enter the picture but then sometimes leave for good. The family has been crumbling for a few seasons now but Nancy and Shane both seemed happier here- probably because in Esteban’s house they lived as a kind of family. But since they can’t marry now, Nancy will flee with his baby (maybe), have Esteban killed (maybe), get back into the game (maybe), and continue in the downward spiral.

Maybe the baby will be still born, because I don’t see how a baby is going to fit into the new episodes, if she does have a baby it will probably get taken away by child protective services from all the drugs and shit keeps around the house lol not suitable for babies

I love this show! I am so glad to be able to watch it – I thought I would miss it this season! I definitely miss the old theme song! When I would hear it, I knew I was going to sit back and enjoy watching someone else living outside the box! I can relate! When you become a single mother – you tend to worry more about your family surviving instead of societies approval. Creative financing becomes a way of life & many mistakes can be made along the way – you just hope to always land on your feet! I loved Guierrmo’s comparison with the cat & Nancy! Not the roof part
Maybe I’m a little crazy, but I like Esteban! Well, I like him now, not so much in the beginning. I am really disappointed on how things ended! Can’t wait til next week! I don’t think it would fit Nancy to have the baby and not be married to Esteban – she deserves the respect of being his wife not just the baby mama.

The show has changed way to much i.m.o. Part of its allure or draw was the fact she lived in the burbs’ had a normal seeming life and slanged weed. I like that, the whole suburban effect, honestly though, i think after season 2 it was about as far as it could go story wise, as in real life there are plenty of suburban dealers, that stay low key, never get caught, and its well boring, hence why the mob and all that stuff.
BTW The Mexican lady yelling at Esteban is not another crime boss, or rival crime boss, She is i.m.o. the head boss. His boss, or wife of his boss. Maybe even like the wife of a very high up political official in Mexico hence the comment about all Mexico’s eyes are on him. Rival NO his superior most Def!.
TO be honest, I am not a big fan of the whole cartel story line, and alot of the comedy which made the show so great I think has been trumped by this whole story line. Conrad and Heilia where the gangsters that made it so fun! I hope she has teh baby, gives it to Esteban goes back to Andy, and they run a medical marijuana buisness with Silas as a family affair and somehow find a way to work Conrad and Heilia back into the show.

Weeds continues to captivate and astound me, even with the outlandish and overwhelming mess that this family has found themselves in. Yes, it was cool to have Conrad and Co. in the mix, but there’s plot twists in every episode of Weeds, no doubt due to the alarmingly bad karma and burned bridges that these characters create via BAD choices. Looks like Nancy the slutty-slut-train-wreck has even worse shit coming to her. I personally can’t believe she’s still alive, so I wonder how she’ll escape her (seemingly) impending doom this time!
Meanwhile, I’d like to smoke out with Andy and Doug and play some Wii back in Agrestic…

Well yeah that’s pretty much it for the translation… \La pinche gringa\ means \the fucking white girl\ (term only used for americans as it doesn’t apply for any other caucasian so it’s difficult to translate)\.
And I don’t know if the mexican woman is really another crime boss but we know for sure there is a bunch of people including her financing Esteban’s activities and threatening to let him down if he chooses to marry her. As she said \all eyes of Mexico are on you\ wich means he has to be careful even with his personal life in order not to screw everything.
My guess is it’s bad for his image and credibility to marry an amercican girl as the maire of Tijuana, which status he should keep to carry on with his illegal business.
BTW: I am addicted to this show and I too miss the old little boxes theme which used to get stuck in my head after watching an episode…

I think it’s still a brilliant and hilarious show, but this one like so many others was pretty depressing. Nancy’s in a tight situation, and I think she makes decisions so that things will work out best for her sons. If she dies, what’s going to happen to them? If she ends up in poverty, same thing? But she’s human, too, so she’s a bit selfish some times, but everyone gives her a hard time — kicks her when she’s down, so I think sometimes she should do something for herself. If she were perfect, it’d be an even more depressing show because she’d keep getting f’d in the a’. I think Esteban was her logical decision for what’s best for everyone; after all wasn’t her reason for rejecting Andy, “I’m pregnant.” I LOVE ANDY! He warms my heart and I hope Nancy and her live happily ever after, but then we wouldn’t have anymore shows left, now would we? Is weeds becoming a soap opera? No. I mean yes. I mean no. I mean yes.
